The ecosystem of Elitists and Leftists is made up of endless, inert layers of bureaucracy that defies comprehension due to its morbid obesity while acting as a shield for do-nothing empty suits.
For decades this fetid growing mass has seemed unstoppable and inalterable. That was, however, before President Trump came to town.
The fact that a successful businessman with incomparable skills at efficiency and a loathing for inaction is dismantling the parasitic environs of the Left should surprise no one.
In his Inauguration address Trump stated, “We are transferring power from Washington, D.C., and giving it back to you, the people. For too long, a small group in our nation’s capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered, but the jobs left.”
The bureaucracy, Investor’s Business Daily (IBD) reports, has nearly 3 million people in it and currently costs taxpayers $2 trillion in onerous regulations that is stifling American ingenuity.
President Trump, unabashedly pro-business, has started the slashing and burning of the fat by ordering his executive agencies to justify their roles and their budgets.
IBD quotes Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney as saying, “The president of the United States has asked all of us in the executive branch to start from scratch — a little blank piece of paper, and if you were going to rebuild the executive branch, what would it look like?”
Under Trump, the renovations will look very good to taxpayers.
