Megyn Kelly was extremely unpopular with her fellow anchors at Fox News when she left the network for NBC. Now, it appears that Kelly is already making some serious enemies at her new network as her move there is seriously backfiring.
Yesterday, we reported that both NBC and Kelly had been accused of racism after the network chose to give her the 9am Today show time slot of Tamron Hall, who chose to leave NBC after the decision was made. Now, it’s been revealed that Kelly might be replacing Savannah Guthrie as the star anchor of Today, a decision which is sure to leave NBC’s other hosts outraged.
“NBC is not paying Megyn $12 to $15 million a year to be on at 9 a.m. The word is that Savannah could take the 9 a.m. slot and Megyn will go right in at 7 a.m. Andy Lack is completely behind all of this,” a source said, according to Daily Mail. ‘There’s no way Megyn would have signed with NBC unless she was promised a big role down the line.”
NBC has spoken out to deny this.
“Let me say this for the last time and as clearly as possible: This is never ever going to happen,” said Noah Oppenheim, SVP of Today.
With all the backlash she’s getting from the public and her fellow hosts alike, Kelly likely won’t be able to survive at NBC long. SHARE this story if you think Kelly is getting the Karma she deserves!
