On Sunday night, Hollywood held their annual Golden Globes Awards, which gave liberal A-listers the chance to pat themselves on the back while lecturing REAL Americans about politics.
Louder With Crowder reported that days before the awards show, Denzel Washington held a round table in which he discussed past work and jobs with other actors. He quickly made it clear just what little regard he has for the arrogance and entitlement of other Hollywood stars…
“People say “the difficulty of making a movie.” Well, send your son to Iraq. That’s difficult. It’s just a movie, relax,” Washington said. “I don’t play that precious nonsense. Your son got shot in the face? That’s difficult. Making a movie is a luxury. It’s a gift. But don’t get it twisted, it’s just a movie.”
THIS is why we love Denzel Washington! Luckily, he isn’t the only celebrity who feels this way. Recently, Mark Wahlberg revealed what he thinks about celebrities who lecture working Americans about politics.
“A lot of celebrities do, and shouldn’t,” Wahlberg said. “A lot of Hollywood is living in a bubble. They’re pretty out of touch with the common person, the everyday guy out there providing for their family. You know, it just goes to show you that people aren’t listening to that anyway. They might buy your CD or watch your movie, but you don’t put food on their table. You don’t pay their bills.”
“Me, I’m very aware of the real world,” he added. “I come from the real world and I exist in the real world. And although I can navigate Hollywood and I love the business and the opportunities it’s afforded me, I also understand what it’s like not to have all that.”
